Custom ChIP-qPCR Primers
If the 1 kb tiling of annotated promoters in our cataloged
ChIP-qPCR Primers does not meet your detection needs, we can design custom
primers to other genomic DNA sequences relevant to your experiments. The Custom
ChIP-qPCR Primers are designed with the same stringent bioinformatic algorithms
and validated with the same rigorous quality control process used for our
cataloged primers. And like the cataloged primers, the Custom ChIP-qPCR Primers are
guaranteed to work under the same qPCR conditions permitting multiple primers to
be performed in the same qPCR run. Let us design ChIP-qPCR Primers for your
genomic DNA regions of interest.
Applications for Custom ChIP-qPCR Primers:
Whole Genome or Whole Chromosome Tiling Microarray Validation
Our Custom ChIP-qPCR Primer design can accommodate the validation of ChIP-on-chip
results from whole genome or whole chromosome tiling microarrays that fall
outside of SABiosciences' cataloged 30-kb tiling range. Simply provide us
with the Chromosome RefSeq positions identified by your microarray results. We
will then design ChIP-qPCR Primers to detect and validate ChIP enrichment at
those positions.
Non-Promoter Regions: Chromatin Remodeling or Differentially Methylated
Loci
Custom ChIP-qPCR Primer design also accommodates other non-promoter focused ChIP
or methylation analyses. For example, monitor chromatin remodeling and
differential histone modification (such as acetylation) utilizing anti-histone
antibodies during ChIP. Or, monitor differential cytosine methylation at loci of
interest using anti-5-methyl-cytosine ChIP or even the MB-PCR or Mira methods of
methylated DNA preparations for PCR.
Wider or Narrower Tiling Intervals
If you prefer a tiling scheme for the NCBI-annotated promoters different from
our cataloged products' one-kb interval over a 30-kb range, the Custom ChIP-qPCR
Primer design can also help you. We can decrease the tiling interval from the
cataloged one-kb for greater resolution, or we can go beyond the 30-kb tiling
range to help you query more distant enhancer binding elements.
Other Species' Genomes
While SABiosciences' cataloged ChIP-qPCR Primers are currently only available for
human, mouse and rat, our Custom ChIP-qPCR Primer design can also be applied to
other eukaryotic and prokaryotic genomes, such as Saccharomyces
cerevisiae and Drosophila melanogaster.
