You can now easily cross-reference the gene list for any
of our arrays with related RT-PCR and siRNA products that share genes from
the same biological pathways. The gene content of our three major product
lines purposefully complement one another to provide an integrated platform
for the systematic study of a single gene, or an entire collection of genes,
on a pathway-by-pathway basis. The planned gene overlap among the three sets
of tools accelerates the study of important disease state and cell function
pathways. The cross-referencing tool on our website now helps you see this
concept in action.
GEArray™ Product Data Sheets on the Web:
Start by browsing for interesting array products by
clicking on the "GEArray Product List" link in the right-hand
sidebar (beneath the heading "Product Lines") on most "cDNA
array" web pages or by clicking on any "Application" link in
the left-hand sidebar on any page. The GEArray Product List contains all of
our DNA microarray products, while the Application links provide you with a
list of DNA microarray products specifically designed for that application.
These tables include the following information for each array: its catalog
number, the species it represents, the product line to which it belongs, and
its name. Clicking on the "Gene Table" link next to the product
name brings our registered browsers to the complete array layout and gene
table. Clicking on the name of a product provides all browsers with an array
"Product Infosheet" that includes a Description, a gene list
organized into Functional Gene Groupings, and relevant References.
The "Related PCR & RT-PCR Products"
link connects directly to our catalog search engine to find all of the
MultiGene-12™ RT-PCR Profiling Kits and SingleGene PCR Kits that represent
the same biological pathways as the array product. This list includes all
SingleGene PCR Kits available for the genes on the array. The results of your
array experiment tell you whether certain genes alter their expression in
interesting ways under your experimental conditions. Use these PCR &
RT-PCR products to verify the relative expression profile of these
interesting genes.
The "Related siRNA Products" link also
connects directly to our catalog search engine and finds all SureSilencing™
siRNA Kits that represent the same biological pathways as the array product.
This list includes all siRNA kits available for the same genes found on the
array. Once array and RT-PCR analyses both agree that certain genes have
interesting relative expression profiles, use these SureSilencing™ siRNA
Kits to suppress the expression of those genes to help you further explore
their function in the biological system under study.
Whether you start from either a human or a mouse GEArray,
the related products links connect you to all PCR or siRNA products
regardless of the species they represent. This aspect of the functionality
accommodates researchers who use dual model systems in their research. If you
use only a human or a mouse model system, pay close attention to the product
names and their catalog numbers in the list to find the related products that
you need.
